hunting and fishing

i stayed over the first night in NY at sai's place, which is really jen's place. it is very nice. very white and clean and girly. i was browsing her book collection, and "the girl's guide to hunting and fishing" caught my eye. being the literal minded being that i be, i thought it was a guide to hunting, and fishing, for girls. naive of me, i guess. i'll think twice before i ever judge a book by its cover again.

anyways, it was actually a very good read. engrossing, maybe? can i use that word? i read the whole thing before i went to sleep. although, i did not understand the point of that chapter with the other family. i caught the connection about the mother living in the same apartment building as the main character's aunt rita. but i still didn't feel like it added anything to the novel.

anyways, i'm still mad at sai for tricking me. you and your whole duplicitous gender. it's not over, sai. oh, no...
